Before Getting Started with TripAdvisor for Business

How to Claim Your TripAdvisor Listing

  1. Find Your Listing

Go to TripAdvisor.com and search for your hotel property. Once you navigate to the hotel listing on TripAdvisor, confirm that the address of the property matches your hotel’s physical address.

  2. Claim Your Listing

Scroll to the very bottom of the TripAdvisor hotel listing, past the recent guest reviews. Locate the box that says “Is this your TripAdvisor Listing?” Click the link in the box that says “Claim Your Listing”.

  3. Confirm Your Property Details

The screen will now display your property name and address. If this information is correct, click the orange “Claim Your Business” button. If this is incorrect, click “Find Another Listing” to locate the correct property.

  4. Verify Your Identity

TripAdvisor requires you to verify your identity to prevent people who aren’t associated with the property from editing your listing. You can opt to verify your identity by phone or by credit card. We recommend verifying by phone. TripAdvisor will call the property phone number with a verification code.

  5. Confirm the Phone Number

Confirm the hotel phone number, add an optional extension, and click the orange “Call Me Now” button.

  6. Submit Verification Code

Pick up the hotel phone to receive the TripAdvisor verification code. Write down the verification code and type it into the box provided. Next, click the orange “Submit Code” button.

  7. Update Your TripAdvisor Profile

Now that you have access to your hotel listing, you can optimize your listing with details about your hotel. To update your property information click “Manage Listing,” or to update your hotel photos click “View Media Suite.” From your account you can also view analytics, manage reviews and more.
